Commissioning of BenLIMS – Benue State Land Information

Sivan Design is proud to announce the successful commissioning of BenLIMS – Benue Land Information and Management System for Benue State in Nigeria. The commissioning took place on Wednesday July 7th 2010 at the Ministry of Lands and Survey offices in Makurdi. Sivan Design was honored by the personal participation of his Excellency Governor Gabriel Suswam, his Excellency Deputy Governor Chief Steven Lawani, and Land commissioner Surveyor John Tondu.

Sivan Design’s Chief Operations Manager, Mr. Yoav Vered, gave an onsite demonstration of BenLIMS features and capabilities to the Governor, his delegations and all invitees. The BenLIMS system is based on Sivan Design’s GeoERP solution. Its main goals are to offer the state an easier management solution for cadastre and land properties, to shorten land registration and ownership processes including the ability to issue formal Certificates of Ownership (C of O), and to allow better taxation and billing processes in order to increase state’s income and prosperity.

“It is of great honor for Sivan Design to take part in another successful step towards the Land for Every Nigerian vision that started with the commissioning of FELIS (Federal Land Information System) and is followed by different states of the federation.” said Sivan Design’s CEO Mr. Shlomi Sivan.

The scope of work conducted by Sivan Design, was a complete turnkey solution and ranged from renovating the facility, via installation of infrastructure and cabling, supply and installation of all the hardware, peripherals, scanners, printers, plotter and satellite internet that were needed, supply, installation and configuration of all the software required including operating systems, databases, cad, mapping and GeoERP.
